Directory of Publicly Funded PAS Programs
The data in this page is derived from WID's 1999 Survey of Publicly Funded PAS programs. To gather this data we mailed out a survey and held telephone interviews with respondents at all the PAS programs we could locate. Although our response rate was quite good, some programs did refuse to participate, and there are likely to be others that we did not identify as part of the sample, so even though this list represents our best effort, it may not be an exhaustive list of all PAS programs in the country.

Note: Programs that are marked with a blue arrow () indicated on their questionnaires that at least some of their funding comes from the Medicaid Personal Care Option. This does not necessarily indicate that the states these programs are in are part of the PC option in their state plans. It may be, for example, that a state is providing personal care services to youth through the mandatory Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) program, and that the monies for these services are noted as coming from the Personal Care option.

Although we have made every effort to verify and correct erroneous information, the ultimate source of the data is from the programs surveyed, not from WID. Our listing of programs was derived from previous waves of the survey. There may be PAS programs that we did not know about, and not all programs that we contacted agreed to participate, so the database may be missing some publicly funded providers of PAS.
